project director

My main role of the project was the director and leader for my team setting goals and getting things done while also helping with bits and pieces as we go along. This was a very hard an d frustrating job due to some members not communicating with me or any1 leaving us down members. first we had a member drop out leaving us with 5 which was fine then 2 other members would not interact with us leaving us at 3. we would meet every Tuesday at 1pm and the 2 rarely appeared. My first action as director was dedicating roles and giving tasks to be done i will not name but here are the stats for weekly goal completion.

member 1: 12/12

member 2: 12/12

member 3 :5/9 -laptop broke for 3 weeks

member 4: 1/12

I first got everyones social media to create a group chat to allow easy contact for me and for the members. I then asked whether we wanted to use our dedicated channel provided to us by our lecturer MR Gavin Wade or make our own server. My team voted to make our own server which I did with many separate channels for different work  thankfully everyone joined these 2 things.

I then made the git hubs which were very frustrating as some people wouldn't join leading me and the main contributors creating 2 separate 1s after we wanted to combine work

This is the final git hub:

I waited until the deadline I gave of 11am on the morning of submission to send me any work and I waited and received only the 1 item off our least contributing member. This was a very frustrating job as I then had to put a lot more time into doing whole projects instead of helping everyone equally I couldn't because they wouldn't try to contact me or even respond to me leading to me being frustrated as i expect at least a response when I contact certain members .

I'm not happy with our end product as it is not a fully finished game but me and our main contributors tried our best over the time we were given for 3 complete beginners to game  development.
